Athletic Administrator
Post 70 is enormously grateful to the Omni Grove Park Inn for its generous contributions over the past several years. These funds have allowed us to run our athletic programs which serve our local youth. Thanks! Please support the OGPI.
- Coffee: Post 70 regularly supplies the Oncology Clinic at the local VA Hospital with coffee and snacks. We also supply the coffee cart with the coffee.
- ROTC: Our post is proud to furnish medals to our future leaders presently attending local schools.
- Legion Baseball: Post 70 sponsors an American Legion baseball team for local 10th thru 12th graders.
- Bingo: Post 70 hosts weekly sessions of the game at our pleasant facility located at 103 Reddick Road (about 1/4 mile east of the Charles George Medical).
- Ladies Fast Pitch Softball: Post 70 sponsors an American Legion softball team for local 10th thru 12th graders.
- Junior Shooting: We will have a shooting group for Post 70 in 2023
- Golf: We have an annual golf tournament supporting our baseball and softball programs
- Boys & Girls State: We send participants from local high schools to this program.
- We sponsor 2 little league teams in the Asheville area.
- Junior Shooting Program: Post 70 has added a Junior Shooting program to our youth activities. It is up and running with 10 shooters parcipating now.
